HW sound volume control

Please consider adding hardware trimmer to set volume or at least switch to mute sound.
I know that sound can be disabled programmatically, but not every game developer will add this feature and sometime it is annoying or disturbing to make loud tunes.

Hey Martin, and welcome on the forum!

You can adjust the sound volume from 0 to 3 programmatically, and I will implement a function "adjustVolume" for everybody to be able to easily include it in their program.
But I have to agree, even with that, everybody won't.
That's why when you start up your Gamebuino while holding down 'A', the sound is muted. It's included in the library, so every will have this feature by default! I implemented that because some friends who beta-tested Gamebuino complained about the start-up sound during classes at school hahaha

What do you think about this solution ?

Hi rodot,

Thank you for your answer. I still think that a HW switch is a better solution, as it is all time accessible and library independent. But I understand that mechanical switches are relatively expensive parts.

I think that your solution is enough for practical use.
