I like that idea. Actually, I'm going to combine that idea with the limo, which I now think deserves an episode of its own. Episode 6 will be a "road scene" where screen scrolls quickly and you exchange fire with Sanchez's goons on cars and motorbikes, trying to catch his limo before the airport.

Episodes:
1. ...
2. You're fired, amigo - Major Fox rendervous with a D.E.A. agent, only to find he has white around the nostrils
3.
4. 100 % Colombian - Major Fox encounters Sanchez's personal bodyguard ninjas on the outskirts of his secret hide-out. Thick jungle.
5. Room service for Mr. Sanchez - Major Fox takes on the deadly minigun toting chamber maids in Sanchez' den
6. Did anybody see the registration on that 100 foot limo ? - Sanchez escapes but Fox rushes after him in a frantic drive to the airfield.
7. Flight cancelled - final showdown at the airfield

EDIT: Road scene, episode 6

Hello Jon,

I used to play operation wolf when a kid but my brother was more fan then me.
My preferred rail shooter came later around 1989 / 90 and it was called Mechanized Assault.

I think you can get a lot of ideas and reference from that game, specially the mid and final bosses of each stage and extra short stages.
On the first stage, for example, mid boss is a sub and final is a war ship culminating at fighting a chopper that takes off of its landing pad.
You should check a playthrough in case you don´t know about it ( I doubt you don´t know ;) )
I could be very inspiring.

funky as it has the madatory 80´s Arnold Schwarzenegger´s copycat. :)
Another good reference, but a very obscure one, was Feedback on the MSX 2, really liked that one too.
Cheers!

No, I have never seen either of these games before. MA is clearly a clone of Op Wolf but since its from rival company SNK, it must have more of everything. That was also common in the arcade games of 80's and 90's. Really nice sub bosses, the submarine is a nice touch.

That Feedback game though. Wow. Really stylish. Cool artwork with Akira influence. We need a mecha game on Gamebuino.

I have totally rewritten my tracker code.

There is no more buffer, the sound is generated on the fly. The whining is caused by my camera (found the error finally). On the computer the sound is totally clean. There is almost no latency at all, and you can play on top of the music to try out sounds and melodies.

The ability to make songs has also been added, you can actually make long compositions now.

In this 5-minute of work, I am demonstrating the distortion, pitch bend and echo effects.

Camera bugging you?
I would suggest something like CamStudio or Bandicam.
I hope that we have a line of trackers that are great.
(I'm liking the style of yours, though)

CamStudio installs a bunch of adware along with it, FYI

EDIT: If you install it from sourceforge then it's apparently safe. don't use the download link from their site.

I believe openbrodcaster can do local recordings. 99% sure but that would always be best bet.

Hex linked below.

Tell me if you get it to work.

All oscillators and volume envelopes and stuff are now working. Yes it is FPS in the left upper corner.

Please try !

The Frame Counter looks nice but the game has too many dark textures
and there is no possibility to end the game (back to main menu) :|
But it running on my Gamebuino
