A ghost pet... you mean a dead tamagotchi? That'd be cool! :D
You can REALLY extend the battery life by putting the Gamebuino in sleep mode, it should last at least a week or two.

Maybe, If you connect 2 Gamebuinos together, you could compete against each other.

sounds great im not sure i sude make it
the hole low powerstate and masive link cable stat-system would be crazy
although tamagotchi's are very simple in design
(if u got the time this is a nice watch about the litle buggers)

You don't need to use sleep modes - if you save pet state into EEPROM/SD, you can turn off Gamebuino totally.

Yeah but if you turn it of totally it won't keep track of time, and you won't have to feed your dead-tamagotchi-ghost everyday :P

Clever R0d0t!
By the way, I have an Idea: if you don't feed/care for him, He'll Live! :o

idk i think its more logical to if u dont feed it or take care of it it will be weak and can no longer keep its form and becoms just some eary smoke like ghast that eventualy disapears out of existance

i think u start of with a ghostbuster buster net(tm) like box where u get ur random ghost out of
after that u can feed it stuff like lose souls and some stuff to play with (idk a lamp to posses) and that opens a tree of types of ghost like pieceful, pure evil bieng the 2 extreams
rest is mostly up in the air at this point, i like to implement and test stuff befor i claim it has all the features
