Board curved and screen cover?

Hello, I just got mine and am super excited to get started.

I've been boning up on Arduino and have a few ideas for fun little games.

Meantime i have a couple questions.

1> The screen seems to have a loose plastic cover on it, is this a removable protector or is something amiss?
2> The main board seems to be ever so slightly curved by the casing. All seems well but i wanted to see if that was normal.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the flimsy slice of plastic film that protects the LCD from scratches during handling and shipping. You're supposed to peel that off once it arrives, aren't you? I did!
