"How to use Flonase" Flonase is a nasal spray that is commonly used to treat nasal allergy symptoms. To use Flonase properly, shake the bottle gently, remove the cap, and prime the pump by pressing it down a few times until a fine mist is produced. Insert the tip of the spray bottle into one nostril, close the other nostril with your finger, and aim the spray nozzle toward the outer wall of your nostril. Breathe in gently while pressing down on the pump to release the spray. Repeat the process for the other nostril.
