@IceCrew: The sprites/frames of the cat are 16x16 but the cat itself is about 8x13 (a bit more in width when you include it's tail).
@jicehel: I've been working so much on other things (pixel art), I'm sorry for not making much progress on this game. I'll do my best to make more time for it though!

I've been working a lot on the game lately! Saving and loading/streaming from SD is working now, at least for the tilemap and collectibles (coins and health) :)
Here's the latest footage I recorded a while ago:
Since then I've reimplemented collectibles and the HUD. I still have to do the same for all other object types, optimizing each to use as little bytes as possible so I can have a lot of them in the level. I still have around 11KB of RAM to use so I'm sure none of it will be a problem ;)
The max size of a level will be 240 x 240 tiles (that's 24 x 30 screens or 1920x1920 pixels) :D
Items will be limited per type. I'll figure out how many along the way.
