Nothing major to see, but I did push some changes this weekend. Mostly refactoring and no longer depending on a customized Gamebuino library. You can no longer get stuck inside the blocks. Didn't get a chance to use jicehel's graphics yet. The running animation only plays when you are actually running, and you can face both left and right.

Good news ;) Nice that you have had time to make it progress. I hope it's will be same next week (and even that you'll have more time ;) )

wouah superb ;) great works. Animations are fine. Maybe the jumps are a little too high but it's not very important. The important is that the game will be fun and i think it's will be.

Idea: For the jumping animation: One jumping frame for when you fall and one when you jump up.

I have had a look on your map editor. Very nice. About ameliorations. An idea could be to just draw horizontal or vertical lines and let the program adjust the good sprites. Same you could choose add pick and if you clic on a sprite, it will replace it by the one with picks. Maybe easy to write but hardier to code, but it's could be cool to make the levels quickest after (and this editor could be reusable with other sprites (with just a definite position for a sort of sprite and maybe a tile size fixed to be easiest to program).

'Bout time for a weekly update. The only change I've made to the game this week is STUDIOCRAFT's idea of having a separate falling versus jumping up animation. Updated the gif in the main post. I'm not completely happy with the new frames, so I'll probably tweak them a bit. However, I really like the idea of falling and jumping looking different.
What I spent more time on was an online level editor ( http://games.aoneill.com/dn-map-editor/ )! Works best on Chrome right now. If there is interest, maybe you guys can help me out in designing some of the real levels when I get to that point. Still needs more work before it will be useful, but it is fun to play with.

Amazing, I love the performance. Like nothing else so far. Keep developing please, or release the source if you no longer wish to work on it.

Thanks for the encouragement! Life is busy right now, but I do intend to finish this some day. The source is available from the original creation page.

Yes, i understand that. Same for me atm.. Alot of things. I hope you'll have some time for it and / or to make tutos on the mapping from creation to the use in the program for the display / moves. In all cases, gfx are great. Animations too and you made already a good job. You could maybe make only one level, add demo in the title and add a managment of the end just to have a full demo with a goal and an end ?
